I've been reading on painting tank background. Tank is already set up 25 gal reef. My wife bought it for $25.00 it had fish only light ant about 25 lbs live rock and 1/2 inch live sand. My wife knows nothing about fish tanks My son in law has a 30 gal. Came home tank set up a skunk clown and purple Psueudo few snails, and crabs. What little I know about a salt set up i knew this tank was in trouble. sand was all Green hair algie and rock also.Did water changes added a few crabs and snails added 20 lbs sand over exhisting sand . It's been a month water has turned fron off the charts to 0 amonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 8.4 ph 10.23 spg. Well it's comming i'm a truck driver and home only 2 days a week . i have a satellite 130 watt with actinic and moon light on timer 12 hr cycle and a power head and rena filstar 250 gph on this tank.now back to original ? I went to staples bought a piese of foam they put photoes on flat black. cut it to fit but it makes a mirror affect on back glass would this go away if i paint foam back flat black ? thanks for the time this was kind of long but wanted to let ya all know what i had for set up.:rollface:
