HelloI have a black capped basslet that I have had for hmm.... more than 6 months. I initially had him in my bio cube with my social fairy wrasse. He in that tank came out and swam a lot and than ne day got into a huge fight with the wrasse... Won it of course (wrasse is alive but got messed up and is good now) than started to hide more but still came out. I recently upgraded my tank to a 90gal. Everything is set up and was running for a month before i switched the fish over. I got a baby purple tang and put it in the tank first than transfered all my fish over the following day.....
2x black and white clowns
2x helfrich gobies
Yellow watchman goby with pistol shrimp
Green mandarin dragonet - male
Social fairy Wrasse
Black Capped Basslet
And my Mystery wrasse from my other tank
All my fish are happy and swimming around and getting along with eachother... I even added a Copperbanded Butterflyfish that my Purple tang bullied for 1 day than got along great with (but I had to QT him because he got lymphocystis virus and his right eye was looking cloudy so hes in QT... after 4 days in my tank and finally started to eat stuff)....
Anyways.... So my black capped basslet... i love the color of that fish... I put him in the tank he goes and hides.... I figured as much he would. All the other fish swim around and love the tank some hide for a day but than came out. The black capped I have seen him a few times come out during feeding times mostly... pop his head out from behind the rock he stays in get food and run back in. He slowly started to come out a little more. But the last like 3 or 4 days I haven't seen him come out at all not even during feedings. When he did come out the little bit that he did its not like any of the fish ran over and bullied him or anything... he'd come out see me...stare...go back... So my question is... how long do i have to wait to consider him dead (which i don't want to do... he was about 3" and VERY healthy in the old tank would always come out for feedings) or how long will it take for him to come out and swim in the giant tank?
Thanks
