I agree, it can be done. Your best bet would be to try a black and white female with a maroon male. The other way around will likely have the female maroon killing the black and white. I tried twice to pair my lightning maroon and both times I've lost the male, maroons can difficult to pair from my experience. My parents have a female occy paired with a male maroon and they get along just fine. They have not bred but then again the conditions are less than ideal since they aren't trying to get them to breed.
