Until you know exactly what kind of crab it is, I'd throw it in the sump for the time being. You would hate to have to fish that thing out months from now when fish are disappearing and pieces of coral are gone. Can you get a picture?
yea I threw it my spare tank! Its seems to be as I have seen on this site a black or dark mithrax emerald crab. iI just got a brand new camera today,Haven't set up my disc yet so I can upload just give me lil bit here!
Your spare tank is an excellent place for it. Black "emeralds" are not even in the same family as the true emerald crab Mithraculus sculptus. Emeralds have a fat teardrop bodyshape while blacks look more like muffins - a arched top with slanting sides & a flat bottom.
