Can anyone identify this hitchhiker?

I found this crab in some live rock that I purchased. It's just him and a clean shrimp in the tank at the moment as my cycle just finished.

I am supposed to pick up a Yasha/Pistol pair later today but I want to make sure it won't go after anything before I do that. It's pretty small, it could fit on a quarter.

I thought maybe a red emerald/ruby red crab but the eyes look different to me. Close to the side of it's head instead of in the front like an emerald.

Is it gulf rock?

My guess is Mithraculus forceps.

I have a tan variation in my tank. No known issues with it to my knowledge.

Well I decided to try and catch him to get him out. Someone just told me to put some frozen food in a small glass at night. It will likely try to go in for the food but won't be able to get out. I think I'll give this a try tonight unless anyone else has a better method.
