This seems to be quite a sore subject with you scott? I will be honest, I made a trip to tulsa a few months back jsut to see yoru store. And was dearly inpressed. But arising fuel costs dont allow me to just hitch on up there everytime i want to.

E-Commerced based buisness is here to stay, and will always be a steep competition. I have purchase much livestock online. These black snails seemed to have been the result of a late night drunken ebay surf. Which didn't really bother me considering I only paid 18 bucks for them.

I know exactly the risks involved in ordering from online. And really have never been burned on any transaction. But we have to face the facts that if we are looking for a nice colony of "Acropora cophodactyla" then we will have to resort to online or fellow fraggers. But rest assured, when and if we have the urge to grab a mushroom rock or colt coral that LFS is right around the corner

Druken nights?!?!?!? I am too familiar. I have to agree it is tough to beat the selection and pricing of online. I just hate to see folks get screwed [the way us retailers do!] by buying something that is supposed to be this >>> and ends up being this >>>>. My fear is pushing people out of this hobby rather than keeping them in it!!!

I see your bitterness now. there are alot of people online out there swindling their way through the cracks. And its really al because they can hide behind their computer moniter.

I need to come back up there and see you guys again, I hear things have changed alot since early this year

All of this is why I think we need to get hardcore with these sellers and why I REALLY encourage eddybabyhd to crack down on the ebay guy. Request (then demand) a refund. Explain that you are willing to report him to ebay for fraudulently selling.

These problems don't get fixed when we put up with them becauses it's only $20. :)

Also, I do want to thank folks like scott0615 and all our other LFS folks for keeping this hobby alive for us. While the lower prices available from online retailers do allow a wider variety of us to keep reefs in our homes, we also couldn't do this without the livestock, advice, and help from our stores.

Thank you all who keep stores in our area!!!
