Black or Clear Bag?

tonyh67,

Thank you for your post and question. The black boots may be is used to help reduce the stress of certain more sensitive specimens. Black boots can reduce the stress level of the fish, by preventing them from seeing other specimens and/or become overly upset by movements during packing and shipping. Boots may also be used for the packaging of some corals and anemones to protect them from light fluctuation during and after shipping. The protective boots allow the customer to slowly reintroduce lighting to these highly light sensitive specimens.

While I know their purpose...it peaked my curiosity when in my recent order the male Lyretail Anthia was shipped in a clear bag, while the Nerite snail bag had a black boot. I would expect the fish to be the more sensitive, as far as light.

Thanks again, LA is outstanding...I order nowhere else.
