Black Premnas biaculeatus

Hi

A fellow reefer claims to have a black Premnas biaculeatus , I personally have never heard about this before. I have seen really dark Maroon color but never black.

Have any of you ever seen or heard of a Premnas with that color?

I will try to get a photo of the fish ;=)

Yeah right.. the guy is atually selling the fish... if it is black I will buy it for sure... I just think it is maroon though.... But one can hope. I will for sure upload a pix of it ;=)

I have seen maroons that are almost black. Espcially a really big female.

There are darker colored or lighter colored maroons depending on where they are colllected.

Blue stripes clowns can have a yellos or white tail depedning on where they are colllected from

C-Quest did have a fish like you describe called "Bill's Black Beauties." It was an all-black maroon with gold stripes--a stunning fish IMO. I saw them at their facility in PR but fear that most of them, amongst many treasures, may have gone the way of the hatchery.

According to this article, they're moving (or have moved) their facilities from PR to Wyoming. Their site still hasn't been updated, though, so maybe they're still getting it up and running? (let's hope so!)
