So its time that i need to update my cleaning crew for my 55g mixed reef tank and my LFS had a Atrosalarias fuscus ( carribean black sailfin blenny when i was picking up some rodi water today. Has anyone had any sucess or advice for one of these guys?. I have a Sarcophyton, Turbinaria, blasto merletti, Briarium, and Catalaphyllia jardineri, with Botryocladia, Helymenia, and Caulerpa racemosa. with a saddleback clown, red dragonette, royal gramma, cherry spotted dottyback (Pseudochromis cerasina, very docile specimen) and 2 green chromis. i have a problem with bryopsis and another red/brown filamentous algae that looks very similar. Ive never had one of these but have has a lawnmower blenny for years in a different tank. will I have any problems with one eating the macros, or will these guys be fine with the bryopsis?

i'm thinking about getting one of those guys and have the same question too. if you don't mind could you post any results that you find with him? thanks and good luck!

I have a sailfin blenny that I hoped would eat my GHA, he does some but not much. Mostly film algae on the glass and the food I feed everyone. Pellets, gel, frozen. Hes fun to watch and beautiful so Im still glad I got him, but hes not much of a tank cleaner for me.
