black smudges

My Cutie Petutie, citron clown goby, has several black smudges on fins - could it be some kind of bacteria infection? It is not ich. It has not spread. I thought it was perhaps where she got nipped by another fish. Any feedback would be appreciated.

My Moorish Idol had some blackened looking areas on its dorsal fin. The fin lost its long streamer about that time and it would not grow back. I began feeding lots of Nori, and after a while the fin began growing back and the black "smudge" also went away. I don't know what it is either, but that was my observation. I don't know if it is the same thing that your fish has or not.

lol I thought a "black smudge" was a type of fish...

could it have been burned by a heater?

I've got a school of Black Smudge's. Totally peaceful. They school all the time. Reef safe. Plus they eat pyram snails, aptasia and runaway mushrooms.:bounce3:
