black snail/slug in tank

Found this interesting hard backed snail/slug in my tank today. You can see the dark shell on the back (it's the dark yet shiny portion on the top of the critter). I'm assuming it's safe with the fish and inverts in the tank, though I've still got it in a specimen container and would love some input. Can anyone ID it for me?

Good guy. Stomatella snail. Will reproduce in our tanks. Unfortunately, cleaner shrimp also enjoy snacking on them, so you may not have them for long, depending upon your stocking.

Fun fact - Stomatella snails can shed their "tails" like lizards, to distract predators, so don't be too surprised if one "comes apart" in your hands if you try to manually remove it.

Thanks! Interestingly this guy was found in a small (~20 gallon) satellite tank I use for mangroves as a refugium, which also houses a fire cleaner shrimp. I haven’t added anything in months, so presumably they aren’t an issue as of yet. I appreciate the ID, I put it back in the tank.
