Just finished my first 6 week cycle with live rock & sand and added my cleaning crew yesterday. About three weeks ago I noticed some fuzzy black stuff starting to emerge on one if my live rocks. Then 2 days before adding my new critters this black stuff was now smooth & bubbly, looking like gooey black snot.
Started researching and this may be a Black Sponge but not sure. It's coming out because it's ugly looking. Hoping to dry it out, scrap it off the rock and able to salvage it hoping this stuff doesn't reappear.
