black spots on clown

My clowns have been hosting in some zoos and one has developed black spots toward his tail. We ruled out black ich but I wonder if it has to do with him hosting in the zoos.

Here's a video-

The zoos came from another local reefer who's clown has the same spots and ironically he's hosting in it too.

thanks for the help.

Your right, the spots are from rubbing on the zoos. Perfectly normal. The spots will eventually disappear.

I am assuming that your wife doesn't read RC, so you are in the clear. :)

It is from the coral stinging the clown. It isn't doing any harm to the clown, just causing the black spots. This happens until the clowns skin develops a resistance for that coral.

Same here.... Me and my son were about ready to pull and QT our pair when good old RC saved the day with great info from other members. Thanks EVERYONE
