Black Starboard locally

Starboard is a trade name, when calling around and getting "Huh?" from people I think its HDPE Plastic. TAP plastic has some and may be able to get different colors.

BTW

Sheetrock is a trade name as well, its real name is "wallboard".:p

Let me know if you need anymore help!!!

With your type of help, I'd be going backwards doing research instead of trying to figure out how I am going to mount a pair of VHO's.:lmao:

BTW, that reminds me, does anyoneone have a set of Vhos (endcaps and ballast) in their stockpiles. Thanks

See there you go with information that is ambiguous. They are round so light goes every which way

Mark,

I am going to order mine from US Plastic (www.usplastic.com). The price seems very reasonable, and shipping wasn't too bad. If you find HDPE somewhere locally for a reasonable price, I'd like to know so that I can order locally instead. Last I checked, TAP Plastic was more expensive than US Plastic. US Plastic does not carry "generic" HDPE in black, but does carry black Seaboard HDPE (much more expensive than the generic stuff and very limited sizing).

Minh- That looks pretty good. I am just starting to reaearch this. I will give it a couple of days of research and re visit this thread once I find out what I find. I guess white would be fine.

I am planning on going with sand over time, but since I want to have a few days to arrange during the switch, I did not want to fight a sand storm. That was one of the worst things that I noticed when I helped Tim remove his sand. After a couple hours, we just couldn't see anymore. Plus, if I ever did go BB, I'd already have the board down.

Because after a couple months of coraline build up, the benefit of white goes away and I am planning on putting sand in the tank anyways.

Mark,
I saw your new tank on the sps forum, very sweet. I would love to come by sometime to give you hand or just check it out in person. How is the build going? I saw your stand looks sweet, makes me wish I would have built my own stand for my 120 tech series tank. Look forewrdt to hearing back from you,
Chris

Thanks Chris. My thread has been alot of fun and the build is coming along quite nicely. Stay tuned...
