Black vs Clear Silicone

What's the difference between the two aside from looks? I am planning on ordering a custom 40Br and was wondering whether I should opt for it. Would be nice if it was stronger than clear, my luck has been pretty bad lately! ;)

black is so much cleaner looking and you dont have to clean the inside of the silicone bead. i dont think either is stronger than the other, but black looks better by so big of a margin.

nothing.

I happen to like clear. black calls too much attention to the tank. I want to see the fish, not the seams.

I'm not sure what the sloppiness of the silicone job has to do with the color, except that black would be more noticable, I suppose  . If done right, then there is no difference, except a black seam vs. a greenish one.

i wasnt talking about the actual silicone job, but rather that once you get a good buildup of nasty algae on it the black hides it and you can just clean right up to the silicone, but the clear looks nasty. i have 1 tank with black, and 2 with clear, and will never go back to clear.
