Black & White Clownfish Group Buy?

Hey everyone, I met a guy when I was in Ohio that sells Tank Bred Black and White Clownfish, and have been waiting around until my new tank was up and running to pick a pair up from him.

Anyway... I talked to him today, and he said he should have some ready for sale in about 2 weeks. Also, he said that if I could gather some more people together he would cut a deal on them.

The price breaks he quoted to me were as follows:

1-4 fish: $40 each
5-10 fish: $35 each
11+ fish: $30 each

It's by FAR the best prices I've seen on them, especially if we can hit the $30 per fish mark.

Like I said, I'm in for a pair... so we would need to order 9 more fish or 5 more pairs to get the $30 pricing.

So they will be $35 each now, and we'll need to order 5 more fish or 3 more pairs to qualify for the $30 per fish pricing.

tj you do know that theese fish get extremely aggressive?? i have a friend who has had a piar for over ten yrs and now they are just in his frag tank' because what ever fish you put with them they attack!!!!!!!!

Aggression is common in all Clownfish. After all, they are a subset of the Damselfish family. If they pair, lay eggs, or have a host anemone the aggression over their territory will increase.

However, after owning several species of Clownfish, I list the False Percs on the lower end of the scale. If you want to see some aggression... you should see Maroon's, Tomato's, or Clarkii's.

I've NEVER had a False Perc "attack" a tank mate. They will chase them out of their territory though.

Hell my starry blenny will nip at my goby and foxface if they swim to close when he is lounging.

UPDATE:

I talked to the guy today, and it looks like I can pick them up this coming weekend. I'm going to plan on picking them up Friday or Saturday.

So please let me know as soon as possible if you would like a pair.

So they will be $30 each now. I'll probably just pick them up from the guy, then you can pay me when you pick up the fish.

I'm picking the fish up Friday, probably in the evening, and will bring them back here and place them in my 20g long system.

Then they can be picked up Saturday morning (I'll be gone Saturday afternoon/evening), anytime Sunday, or at your convenience.

I'll shoot everyone who purchased a pair a PM with my cell# after I pick them up.

Ok little wrinkle...

I'm going to be picking them up Sunday evening now. I need to drop off some family at the airport, and our schedules don't meet up again until Sunday. So I'll be meeting him Sunday around 6pm to pick up the fish.

He also said he has Orange Misbar Oscellaris Clownfish that he would be willing to sell for $10 each, and that they are on the larger side... around 2" Once again... if you're interested, just get in touch with me before I head out there.


So just to wrap up:

- Orange Misbar Ocellaris - $10 each
