Will they work in a 220g with lots of hiding places and added the same time?

The dottyback will be aquacultured so it may not be as aggressive as a wild specimen.

Thank you for the replies. I'll get them and qt them separately. And I'll update this thread when I put them in the display tank.

As above I don't think you'd have any problems but from personal experience the springers is a pretty shy species, so you won't see a huge amount of it. I've had the one in my avatar for around ten years and went several months where I just didn't see it at all. I don't mind that as its nice to have something you have to look for as it makes you see parts of the reef you might overlook but if your expecting a showy fish then ime they tend to mature into a more secretive species especially in a tank as large as your (mines 200 litres). In terms of aggression it was a laid back fish only flaring at an iridis wrasse for about two days, then ignored everything. Would recommend one to anyone and yes it was tank bred.
I'm fairly sure black caps are similar in nature (but again worth it)

Thank you Moort82 for the response, 10 years is a long time congrats. I'm glad you told me they are secretive sometimes so I won't freakout when I don't see him for a while even if I search the entire tank.

Nice avatar!
