blackspot angelfish

Hey Guys, quick question i am in the process of doing TT for a pair of blackspot angelfish, on the first day (oct 23rd) he managed to jump out of my colander and fall about 1 foot on to the table, prior to this he was fine and swimming perfectly, after the fall i noticed he was favoring his left side and after 24hours his pectoral fin joint got reddish and he is using it seldomly.

it looks like he injured it, but having no experience with fish injuries i do not know how to tell the difference between infections and injuries, also no idea how long it usually takes for fish to heal

not really, hopefully this is nothing, everyone else is doing amazing, he is using his fin a little more but its still red...

also this is all new equipment and the fish are from a more expensive clean lfs... 10 feet away from all my other tanks! not leaving anything to chance!

any input would be appreciated

quick update. it looks like it really was an injury. it is 90% healed and he is using it as if nothing ever happened now!

it is no longer red.

dont drop your fish!

thank you very much shane! you have no idea how relived i was that he was healing, lately with all the problems i had i was very discouraged!

battle is not over they still have another 4 weeks of qt (hopefully only observation
