Im so glad im out of that condo yo have no idea. It feels weird to be able to walk out my door and actually have space of my own outside and not a catwalk or common area.

Well i got a good amount of the plumbing done today after multiple trips to the hardware store. Had to improvise a bit from my original sketch due to some space restraints and such but i think it will work out just fine. Tomorrow i will finish up the plumbing for the return pump.

Anyone know if there is a union adapter that will fit directly onto the thread from the Jebao/Waveline pumps? Not sure i want use the barbed fittings.

Hey John, I used a regular 1.5" union from Lowes and it fit fine. Thread X Thread, don't remember how much it was able to screw down on the pump but it wouldn't push it too much if it is going to sit in the sump.

Yup, I test fit mine with a 1.5" adapter as well. I was able to get a couple turns and then it got real snug.

I don't think Teflon tape is needed, but if you want it water tight then rolling it a few times and your golden.

John- Just curious. Will the returns run up the overflow as well? Dont see that in your 3d sketch at beginning. I ask because I recently installed seaswirls to my tank and am very happy with them. Going up the overflow for return wont give you that option. Just a thought.

Here's a picture of how I have my DC9000 set up. I've got a 1 1/2" check valve coming in that I'll be using as well on the output heading up to my manifold and returns.

Love my moceans and the adjustability to control speed and angle. I just with they didn't lose programming when the power goes out.

My dc12000 does something like 1200-3000gph if I'm not mistaken. Just off the top of my head. I might be off a few 100 gals or so.

I'll post some pics tomorrow from work. I still dont have internet set up at the new place and 4g is hit or miss at the moment.

It's about the size of my Ehiem 1262 but more efficient in terms of wattage (70w at full compared to 80w all the time)

The DC9000 puts out a little under 2400gph at full. Not too shabby eh?
