Hey guys.
I've had this Blasto Wellsi frag in my tank for ~3 months. It's not doing so well. I've lost one head (which was tiny), and one head seems to be disappearing. It basically looks like its been cut in half. I don't give that head much hope at this point because the mouth is gone, or mostly gone. I posted this question in the LPS forum, but I didn't get much help beyond...feed it.
I've increased the feedings to every other day. I've been giving it freeze-dried Mysis shrimp that I break up into fairly small pieces, and feed to it with a turkey baster. Could that be the problem? Am I feeding it the wrong food?
Tank Parameters:
SG-1.026
Temp.-78-79 lights out/ 80-81 lights on
NH4 & NO2-0
NO3- >5
pH- 8.1
Ca- 420
Alk- ~9
Here's an old picture, color is kind of screwy, new camera.
As you can see the polyp in the upper right is starting to recede in that picture. It has gotten worse since then. I'll take and post a more recent picture later today once the lights come on.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I'd like to keep it, and get it healthy...but I'll entertain trade offers.
(if you guys have anything left after the swap.)
I'm looking for Monti Caps, and Digis, as well as Acros, a Duncan, or possibly other LPS. Like I said, I'd like to keep it, but I'd rather pass it along to someone that thinks they can nurse it back to good health if it continues down it's current path.
