blasto ?

I picked up a very sick rock of red blastos from a fellow reefer having problems with there tank. The flesh has receded from the skeleton in all places only leaving a couple of parts where you can see the flesh from the coral. These parts seem to be inflating and are very colorful still but so small. I would estimate about only 5% at the most on each head shows life, the other 95% is skeleton. The parts that are alive are bright and beginning to puff out.

Do these have any chance to make it? I keep mostly SPS so this is a new thing for me. Any advice on making this work would be appreciated.

Thank you!

If it has stabalized the Blasto probably can make it. I would put it in an area where it gets indirect light and medium flow. Also feeding meaty foods such as Cyclops or Mysis Shrimp every day or so would also help it heal.

Best Wishes,
Barry

Thank you Barry. This coral has receded so much, I'm not sure I'll be able to feed it. The nice color that I'm getting from the remaining pieces that are alive gives me confidence but I think this will be a long road.
I appreciate you getting back to me so fast!
