Is it a flatter, submassive piece, or one with small heads and separate 'stalks'? B. wellsi is the flatter, typically larger coralite size and much more finicky. B. merletti's are generally hardier and grow faster (individual-to-grouped polyps on stalks). Not much spreads like mushrooms and some zoas (well, star polyps, clove polyps, a lot of softies, algae, etc.)...
