bleached acro

Hey, I am just so pleased I wanted to post on here. I had trouble with 2 of my corals. One being a plate coral that I was unaware had to be fed like an anemone. Well, it bleaced out and was shriviling, not tenecles anymore, it was bad. I started feeded it and now it has doubled in size and stays puffed up and its tenecles stay out, it is now healthy and happy . For the acro, I really felt it was gone, it completely bleached and I was sure there was no hope. Anyhow, I placed it as close to the top as I could, kept a check on the alk and the calcium as we discussed in our meet, well, I noticed yesterday morning that it was showing some signs of color! I was unsure if it could be algae or actual color of the acro, so I didn't get too excited. Well, today the color is even better and it is not algea for sure as the color is showing up on polyps all the way down, not as it would from algea! I think its gonna be fine now, I will keep a post on the progress.

ok, the color is more visable now and it is blueish/purple, so it is looking very good. This is a "Blue-tipped, 'hairy'-polyped" so it is a blue/purple color, so its all good so far. I have no clue how long after they start to regain all color, I assume several weeks or months, this is a frag that is about 2 inches tall.

I will accept a frag of the acro when it gets bigger for passing on the alkalinity/ calcium information to you.

lol Phil, actually if it grows that well then sure I just wanted to let everyone know that I hope they were at the swap to hear the great info Phil passed on to us because it saved my acro and, I am sure, is helping with the continuing health of all my corals.
