bleached anemones

I purchased a rather bleached anemone from the lfs (for a good deal) several months ago. After about a month of semi-survival it has started to get some brown coloration in the most interior tentacles.

I wanted to make sure that this was actually a good sign that the anemone is gaining some coloration.

It sure sounds like it... It's very hard to nurse one back to health - I'm trying now, but from what I've read it usually fails....

If it's getting some brown coloration though - it's probably starting to get it's color back and is a good thing. What are you feeding it?

Lot's of people manage to get them back to health, just keep feeding. Yes the fact that it is getting coloration is a good sign.

I think it is a good sign that youre nem is on its way back. Currently Im nursing a bleached GBTA, I have it for a month now, its growing but no indications of color change. From what I've read, sometimes it take them 3 months or perished all the way.

I've got it in my 110g about 5" from the top with t-5 3 x 80watt and 4 x 65 p.c.
I feed the entire tank mysis, brine spirulina, formula 1 or 2 (I always forget which it is).
I will spot feed it (and my condy) krill, squid, or just make sure it has some of the mysis.
I also put in black powder or cyclops twice a week but I wouldn't imagine that those would have much of an impact on the anemone.

That brown color is a good sign of recovery, You might want to try feeding it silversides. I bought a pizza nem and posted pics to find out an id on it, only to find out it was bleached but he recoved and is doing well.
