bleached or dead

I purchased this from Petco and it had some color left on it. When i put it in my tank the color went away in about 2 days. After I looked at it today I noticed what looks to be polyps. So my question is, does this coral look dead or just bleached? This picture is with my lights off..

To me, it looks like both. The front edge is showing algae growth, so it's dead.

The middle and back might be bleached. I'd give it a couple days. If it's still white, then bleached. If the algae growth spreads, dead.

id say its dead or will be soon, doesn't look like there is a lot you can do.

Looks like death! I would agre with leaving for a day or two! Once to this state it's rare to have a sps piece come back. Sorry and good luck

what lightung do you have. it looks like there is not much down there. I've had a couple pcs come back from looking this bad but odds are against it.
