Bleached scoly

I accidentaly overdosed kent tech m fighting bryopsis and went from 1400 to 1800ppm overnight. At least it's in the concentration to kill bryopsis but my warpaint scoly's blue stripes are kinda translucent and not as intense. Also I have a green acan lord thats not green anymore haha! Any chance they'll get there color back? I gotta hold the mg here for 2 weeks before I can SLOWLY bring it down lol.

Just keep a eye on it, I've seen them loose color for a few and bounce back. If they are still eating and inflated(meaty) I wouldn't worry to much about it.

I had the same issue, my scollys and montipora bleached after adding Kent Tech M to kill bryopsis. I did not raise my magnesium level beyond the normal level of 1350 though. The Tech M did kill the bryopsis after about a week. The color is coming back to the corals but very slowly (taking many months). I did also reduce the intensity of my LED lighting which may also be contributing to the color returning though (at least that is my guess).

Alright. Thanks for the responses! I upped my feeding to 3 times a week and reduced my lighting. Bryopsis seems to be holding on so I'm gonna try to hold this level for another week or so. StrAnge that only the blue faded out of the scoly but the red is still intense as it used to be. Can't wait til it gets back to its former glory. I never used to like scolys but it's starting to become one of my favorite things in the tank!
