Okay so I just ran water tests on both the DT and the RO/DI
DT :
PH 8.1
Nitrate 10
Ammonia .25
Nitrite 0
CA 400
Phos 0
SG 1.023
Temp 77-78
RO/DI:
7.4
Nitrate 0
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Phos 0
I can't test for chlorine, but considering this unit is specifically designed for chlorine/chloramine I would be blown away if they were much higher than 0.
I have already turned over all the water in the tank about 2 1/2 times since I got the RO/DI. I did a 100% water change about 4 days ago. Nothing has changed in the tank. I'm feeding the same thing at the same time as I always do. My lights are on the same schedule, and I ordered replacement bulbs just in case.
What is the level of the Sg and phos and NO3 when you mix and add the salts ? with the RO water ? Surly your PH level must be rising ? Do you use any buffer soloution in your tank to try and keep the PH stable. Anemones dont like Unstable PH levels.
I use Caribsea Aragamilk and it keeps my PH at a constant 8.3. Also i think your SG should be higher. I ruhn mine at 1.025 all the time.
What is the exact size of your tank and how much Live rock do you have ?
Do you use a skimmer and any filter media ? Do you have a sump ?
Your lighting seems fine but as you said have you changed it for new bulbs ?
Also on your DT reading you have Ammonia .25
How old is your tank ?
Do you use an auto top up unit on your tank or top it up with RO water as it drops so you SG does not raise ?
Also how often do you change your water and what exactly do you have in your tank fish wise ?
There are so many factors which can lead to an amenoe not doing well even if they are bleached this can greatly reduce there health.
Also if your Anemone is moving around all the time he has not found a place that he is happy with ? Your flow seems fine but you have not mentioned the size of your tank or maybe i am wrong and missed it ? EG waves maker of pump in regards to the size of your tank. I am fairly new to Marine but i have done a huge amount of reasearch over the last few weeks on Anemones.
Sorry for all the questions but the more information you givei find it is easier to try and help you find the underlying problem.
