bleaching softies

So I have --correction-- HAD a beautiful purple torch, frogspawn and hammer...the heat wave caused these particular corals to bleach out.

Question is...will they ever come back, or are they essentially dead?

What if I move them to another tank, one that had a more stable room temp, but only PC lighting? - - could that help them to come back?

Many LPS are difficult to regenerate once they start to go. If there's any way to lower the tank temperature, I would do it, but if the only way to get them lower temps is to reduce lighting, then I would do that. I would also spot feed them daily.

agreed, once the colour has left so too has the symbiotic algae that feeds the coral...spot feeding enriched mysis or brine shrimp is essential to getting the coral back on track...as is reducing and leveling out the tanks temp and other parameters that can fluctuate with the temperature.
