Bleaching

I've just swithched all of my stuff to a new 90 gallon with 2 150 mhand t5ho for lighting. I've had it in the lower 3rd of the tank but it appears it's starting to bleach. What should I do? Move him to the sand? Put him in something where the light is somewhat covered by a rock? I did acclimate my lighting, i'm only up to 4 hours for the MH.

When you are acclimating with new light you also need to have them up high and move them down slowly over a few weeks. Or use screens and take one off every few days.
Mushrooms do not really like bright lights. I have 65 watt PC lights and keep my mushrooms on the lower rocks right by the sand. I would move them down to the bottom and maybe even under abit of a under hang of a rock. Dont cover it up ..
Make sure it is getting some light.

Can you put the lights higher? If not a screen might help, I'd definitely cut the photoperiod down though if they're bleaching. Are both the t5's and halides on for 4 hours, or are the t5's on for longer? If the t5's are on for longer that's probably got a lot to do with it too...

I think KeMo means to say keep them as low as possible in your tank and slowly move them up. What lighting did you have them under previously? Yes I would move it to a location where it is getting a little less light.
