I've had a Lawnmower Blenny for I think almost a year and it has always done good.He has grow alot and was always very fat.He seemed to be doing fine and a couple of days ago.I didn't notice if he was out yesterday because I didn't have much time to look at the tank.Well the lights came on today and he was upside down on the side of the tank.Any Ideas?Maybe old age or something like that.I beleive he was full size at about 4".

All of my other fish are acting normal and eating so I don't know what could have happened.I was gonna feed him to my anemone but figured he desearved better than that since he was one of my favorite fish to watch.

I had a blenny do the same thing. One day I noticed he was breathing heavy and within a few hours he died. All my other fish were and still are fine. It was about 3 months ago.

i hear news of Lawnmowers dying after they've eaten all the algae in the tank, but you say he was fat...hopefully eating good. A lot of people always want explanations for when their fish die...but sometimes it just happens. At least it didnt affect the rest of your tank.

You have a point there, maybe it was his time.I guess without really watching the tank 24hrs a day I will never find an explantion.I bought him after reading what others thought of Blennys and I'm glad I did. They have great personalitys and are fun to watch.Well RIP you fat guy:D

sry you lost your fish, sometimes like others say it's hard to know exactly why or how our fish and stuff die.

good thing is that nothing else in your tank was affected.
