Blenny Feeding

I have an orange spotted blenny that I am having a hard time eating what I think is an appropriate amount of food. I know they are herbivores by nature and he is eating a very small amount of frozen cubed veggies but it doesn't seem enough. Any ideas on how to get him to eat more or could he just not like the food?

Hello,
Blennies are herbivores but they also eat lots of other foods. It really depends on the particular fish. I feed my mysis, frozen formula 1 and 2, pellets (Spectrum and Ocean Nutrition One/Two). How long have you had the fish and who is eating with him? They can be shy initially but once acclimated, blennies are like little piggies!

I've had him about a week. He is in with a pair of firefish as the only other non invert inhabitants of the tank. Whenever I feed the fires he is always interested in whatever they were eating but I always thought they were strict veggies... I guess that makes me feel a little more comfortable. I guess I was jumping the gun on getting worried... Thanks.

does he eat the firefish food? i read they only eat algae growing in the tank. so if u get him eating something else, thats good.
