Blenny/goby recommendations

I just did a google search on all the different kinds of Bleeny. They seem to come in a vast assortment of size shape and color. The Red Sea Mimic or the Blackline would look very color coordinated swimming along side my Midas. I know according to the “Rules of Marine Aquaria” they would not get along, but considering the mild mannered personality of the Midas, I wonder.

The picture of Mike 89's Midas doesn't look quite like the ones I see at my LFS. The ones at the LFS and the pics I see from doing a Google search don't have the dark outline on the top fin and aren't as uniformly gold from head to tail. Is Mike's the standard, average looking Midas? Also, I have read that the African Midas is more brightly colored that the one from the more commonly available one from Pacific-maybe that's part of it.

I have kept a midas in my 90 gallon reef and he never ate or nipped for that matter a single coral.

I know when they are stressed they lose some color. When I first added mine to my tank it changed to a lighter brownish grey color due to stress. It quickly colored back up the next day though.

I have owned Midas blennies in the past-both the bright yellow and the darker version.They all had great personalities and none of them nipped anything except food.
