fwiw. I have a starry blenny in my tank and that sucker will kill anything that is even close to the same size as him. doesnt matter if its a blenny, goby, or whatever. as soon as I can catch him he will be finding a new home!
Ive talked to several people who have starry blennies and all theirs are model citizens. maybe I just got a dud! From my own experience It is a very aggressive blenny probably the most aggressive of the blennies. I know the Midas blenny can have a nasty reputation as well if your at all familiar with them.
I did some more reading on the starry and It seems it shares a common trait with other blennies. It is particularly agressive towards things that are similar shape and or color. Not good for my tank.
I think I will just go with the segmented sailfin blenny as a replacement for the starry and a banded sleeper and 20 Nassarius snails.
