Blenny versus clown?

Has anyone had any blennies that have been mean to clowns? For the last year and change I've had my latz clown and a black sailfin blenny. They get along fine.

The last two days I've introduced a juvenile clarkii in hopes of finding companionship for the latz. Yes I bit the bullet and I'm hoping for the best. She's chasing him but not maliciously, just sort of shooing him. He's acting like a new clown in a new tank.

However, this blenny has decided to turn angry colors and chase the poor new little clown. He's not shaped like the blenny, if anything I'd think he'd chase my firefish or maybe my basslet but.. man this poor little clown needs to learn to hold his own and fast!

Otherwise I might have to pull a blenny switcharoo and swap him for the bi-color in my other tank. I really don't want to have to go through that hassle.

Grrrrr silly fish!

That's really odd. I've never seen any blenny's that are mean or even agressive really. Sorry I can't be of any help, but I'd say switch them out - I like bicolor's better anyway.

I'll give them a good week or so since he could just be territorial I never knew him to be this way I only really know of red lips being sassy. Well, sometimes the starrys too but he is a BIG blenny twice the size of my bi color.

If it keeps up maybe i'll do that, thanks!

my lawnmower started chasing my damsels after he was in the tank for about a week. guess he got tired of the damsels picking on him.
