Well after observing my mantis with the shell disease I have come to the conclusion that he's blind. He spends all his time moving around the tank, running into things, and doesn't seem to be aware of his surroundings. He no longer reacts to my finger or any kind of motion even when he's right up against the glass of the tank.
His vision loss was pretty sudden and most likely is related to his shell disease. But perhaps he's just getting old? He lost a basher in his last molt which I know isn't all that uncommon but his health has been deteriating since.
