blinking 7095 ?

today, I decided to turn my two 6055s, which i have on the same side of the tank opposite to one mp40, to full power, 24v. I've been using my 7095 controller, running the two 6055s on pulse from low to high speed for 6hrs on and 6hrs off.

everything was working perfectly fine until I raised the pumps from 22v to 24v. The controller started to flash periodically. I unplugged the pumps from the controller and it seems like one of the 6055's doesn't stay consistently on. It comes one for one quick pulse every 10-15 seconds.

Any ideas? What should I do?

Most likely cause is that one pump is dirty and the higher voltage is pushing it over the 30W limit causing it to cycle off and on. I would disassemble the pumps and soak them in vinegar and water mixed 50/50, the usual cause will be calcium build up between the metal shaft and drive magnet and this will only get cleaned well if the drive unit is removed before soaking.

Thanks. Thats what i did yesterday. Im going to leaving in till tonight and then clean it. I hope that does it.

Any issue running them on for 6hrs and off for 6hrs at 24v?

No, other than on and off cycling will result in more calcium build up than continuous operation between two speeds.

So I soaked the pump for 24hrs and just cleaned it. It did have some calcium buildup in the magnet.

Unfort, it still does not continuously stay on. It comes on for a split second every 10-15 seconds and that's it.

I've attached a few pics. Any other ideas? Should I soak it again? Is it dead? I hope not, but...

Try the pumps by themselves, no controller or controller cable connected, I lean toward the issue being with one pump or power supply.

I agree. Im trying the pumps with no controller. One works perfectly fine. The other is not connected to the controller in any way and it still doesn't function properly. I'm soaking it again in a vinegar bath.

The pump looks fairly old, pre 2010 based on the propeller and disk. My best guess would be the power supply is dying, they usually last about 4 years.
