If it's already 7" it will easily get over a ft

I got mine in August, and he's grown from a little under 5" to over 7", and put on quite a bit of girth in that time span. I actually purchased mine from an online vendor as A. dussumieri, but they mistakenly sent me A. blochii instead. How is yours temperament wise? Mine is very shy for an Acanthurus (a good thing given their potential adult size).
