Blonde naso not eating

I phurchased a blonde naso from my lfs a week ago and he is still not eating. I've tried live brine,h2o spirulina brine,reef bugs,mysis.. he is in an established 55 qt..any suggestions? Oh and he is a medium blonde.

I would add some garlic, and then try some nori or algae sheets. He might just be stressed out from being in a 55.

My gut is saying he is just stressed out and not eating. Do you have hiding places?

Give it some time, i'm sure he'll come around.

I have been trying with algae sheets/w garlic...and yes he has several places to hide.

Tie some algea to a small rock and let him look at it. Not to many algae clipps in the wild.

Have you tried the Ocean Nutrion Forumla Two pellets, flakes or frozen? Our blond naso tang + Forumla 2 = :inlove:. Seriously, you show him the container and he starts doing aquatic gymnastics until you give him some.

Hope your new fish starts eating.

Since you have already tried live brine (my normal trick) I would suggest live blackworms if your LFS carries them.

If you have access to any macro algae I would put that in there also, Nasos love to munch on that.

I did not see PE Mysis on your list. My Lil Naso picks throught the rest of the food to get to the PE Mysis.

Have you noticed if hes twitching or scratching against objects? If he has any parasites like flukes, that usually causes new fish to stop eating. If so, then i would treat with Prazi.
