Blonde Naso

Hey, I was given a small blonde naso tang that will soon be movig to a 120 gallon tank. But since placing him in my 55 he is very shy, and hides behind my rock work when I come into the room?

How can I feed him if he keeps hiding? Will he only eat Nori and mysis?

I had one before. He was shy at first. He will eat when he gets hungry. If there is enough live rock he will just graze on it.I gave mine to a friend who had a 150 FOWLR tank.

So what should I do in the meantime. Do I continue to try and feed the Nori and mysis, or should I just wait until he is less shy?

rubberband some seaweed select to a rock. That way if he sees it he can nip at it any time he wants. And you can keep those in the tank for like a day without worrying about it.

sweet, I think the seaweed wraps from the sushi my GF made are still around. Is there anything that I should make sure is not in it before using?

LOL you keep fish as your loved pets....Then have sushi for dinner :D

Just about all the nori wraps at the asian supermarket are fine. Just cautioning against one type which is deep fried in oil, but this will be very obvious, as you will see the oil rub off within the bag. The common types used for rolling sushi area all fine, and what most of us feed. Very little difference between this and pet store brands aside from price.
