Blood Red Fire Shrimp

I have two of these guys in my 12g, they have been there almost from the beginning (6-05). Last night I was watching them and noticed BOTH had large amounts of what I would call "eggs" in between the "flapper things" on the underside of their tails. One has so many that its "flapper things" aren't flush with its tail anymore. Are these things eggs and will any survive? I have a clown and a tail spot blenny in the tank also with a small cleaner crew. Just wondering....

They are eggs and won't survive. On the bright side you just got a free source of quality food.

yeah, it's though for shrimp to breed in captivity with predators next to them. Your egg will provide high protein food source for your fishes though

I have 4 fire shrimp, my clowns eat the eggs out from under them, every time. Thought about setting up tank to see if i could raise them
