My anthias recently died of an unknown disease. There were no visible signs of parasites or trauma. It's tail turned a bloody red that made it look like it was hemorrhaging internally. Moments before it died, it was listless and was breathing quickly.

Here is a picture of the corpse.

Now my royal gramma also has a bloody tail but it is definitely not listless. It is scratching itself furiously and swimming erratically with clamped fins. There are no signs of white spots, black spots or anything that looks like a parasite. luckily, it is still eating. Please advise!

After an entire day of reading through tons of articles on the internet, I have concluded that I have oodinium. Because it is a FOWLR tank and I have too many fish for my quarantine tank, I have removed all the live rock from my tank and proceded with copper treatment. Wish me luck!

It is now the morning after starting the copper treatment. The gramma is no longer scratching and is swimming with fins out but he has an awful lot of mucus on his body and is still not swimming the way he used to.
