Blue Angel twitching

I have a Blue Angel that twitches sometimes. Sometimes just his head; sometimes his entire body. I've had him a year or so now, and while he's always done it lately it seems to be getting worse. None of my other 18 fish do it. I've never seen any stringy white poop (flukes); and I even caught the Blue Angel about a month ago, performed a f/w dip and saw nothing.

The Blue Angel went thru TT and Prazi when I first got him. All of his tankmates were QT'd the same, except CP was used in place of TT on some of them. 6 weeks minimum; some were QT'd for 8-9 weeks. I would almost believe he has Ich in his gills, except I've never seen any symptoms on any of the other fish. Including a Powder Blue Tang and Blonde Naso I've had from the beginning.

Thoughts? Nervous twitch perhaps? I seem to remember something about large angels twitching to show their dominance... but this is my first large angel in almost 10 years. TIA

Funny you should bring this up. I'm dealing with a similar situation. I have a pink spotted goby that scratches occasionally. I did a dip on him last week and nothing came off. No other fish shows any signs of flukes or gill parasites. I'm beginning to think he has a behavioral problem. I wonder if there is a new disease on the horizon;)
I have heard that angels twitch to show dominance. As far as my goby I am keeping an eye on his breathing and eating and am ready to move them if need be.

This is what I'm hoping it is. The reason I don't think it's Ich is surely the Blonde Naso or Powder Blue would have shown symptoms by now. The PB always looks flawless, as she is the alpha tang in my tank.

Good luck with your goby. I have a Pink Spotted ("Thumb") as well. All he does is stay behind the rocks in his hole. Have you ever tried pairing yours up with a pistol shrimp? If so, which kind?

Yeah if there's ich in the tank the tangs will let you know...the canary of the ich mines;)
My goby stays under a big rock in the back of the tank but he comes out at night and stares at me then he flashes. I've not paired him up with a shrimp I've had him for over a year so I wonder if I still could?
