try a yellow assesor too --they have a nice yellow kiwi green tint there are 3 color variations depending on where they are caught

HI

I have 3 blue Assessors from Liveaquaria and 2 yellow ones from ORA via my LFS. The ORA fishes were just skeletons with fins when they arrived and it took the shop more than 4 weeks to get them into decent shape (thumbs up for Coral Reef Aquarium, Seekonk MA, great job!). I cannot believe the bad shape they were in, and apparently they were shipped directly from ORA to the shop.
Now all 5 Assessors live in my 110 and are doing absolutely fine, the blue ones even started breeding. No aggression to any other fish, but I think that they really need to be kept in groups. In Australia I saw then under overvangs in groups of 20 or more .

I second the request for a pic. I'd like to see some decent pics too. All the pics I have seen on the net are either really bad or really color-enhanced.

Also, I read somewhere that they were territorial. I'd really like to hear how it works out over time with several in one tank.

I do have a digital camera,but it died on Saturday....still one week of warranty left.
As soon as I have my camera back from service I will try to get a decent pic.
There is absolutely no aggression between them or any other fish in the tank, at least not in the 8 months I have them.

Hi Clark

If you go the the most recent Tank of the month, there is a pretty decent picture of a yellow Assessor.
Mine are a bit more yellow but not as bright as a yellow Tang for example. If the fishes are in really good shape, then they have a fine green and red line around the fins, which you can see in the pic.
