Blue Cheek Triggerfish

We have a blue cheeked trigger and it's around 3-4" long.
In order to put some critters we'd like in there (i.e. arrow crab and some emeralds), we'll have to part with her, we believe.

What would something like this hold as far as value, either with trade or sale?

We're very new to this, but extremely excited we've gotten into it.

Thanks for anyone's input!

Do you mean the fish more commonly known as the blue throat trigger (Xanthichthys auromarginatus)? If so, it is a well-liked, relatively commonly found fish. Not as troublesome as many triggers. Looks like liveaquaria, for example, has them listed at $70 for a male (which are somewhat more colorful), or $45 for a female. The only trouble you may have is in finding a buyer interested in a fairly large, boisterous fish - even though they are generally considered "reef-safe," they're still triggers and might knock rocks and corals around, etc. (They also get pretty big, so your buyer would ideally need to have a 100-gallon+ tank.) HTH.
