Hi all
So to keep it short i have had this growing all over my tank for a few years however its taken over and with moving into harder corals its proofing to be a real paIn/pest
I have pretty much read all the post about people using certain chemicals which are no longer available and alternative dog dewormer treatments BUT this scares me and a concern is that killing this much blue clove as well as anything else could have a bad affect on the tank itself!
So has anything changed? Anyone found a new way of killing them?
Any predators been found?
I have included some pictures and in these it has died back in some places (if you can believe it) i think this was die to a salinity spike - either the raise in salt or the raise and then the decrease - not sure (raised 1.030)
Now is this a viable option in a mixed reef? How long could i run at a higher salinity for without causing serious harm to anything also the decrease in salinity again
I hope that all made sense and all help/advice is appreciated. Thank you.
Will update with pictures shortly as photo bucket is taking its sweet time
