Blue Clove Polyps

They are actually pretty inoculous. They don't have any 'sting' and while they do spread they do not over run any corals in my experience...

Just my .02...but get them out of your tank ASAP! These things reproduce and spawn anywhere in the tank. I took out nearly 200+ lbs of live rock that was covered in clove polyps to kill them and they still are in my system!

They will begin to grow on the mats of zoas and crowd them out... ultimately killing polyps. Kalk paste has rarely helped in my case. I will NEVER EVER add these to my tank again!

Ditto!! The small "snowflake" ones pictured above are some of the fastest spreading pests I've seen. They WILL choke out other coral and unfortunately usually start with you most prized coral. I've not had them bother any SPS (yet) but have lost many $$$ worth of prized Zoas. It only takes ONE polyp in a suitable tank to have them take it over in a year's time and I'm talking coral, rock, powerheads and everything.

Ironically I'm going to intentionally introduce them into my 12g Office tank because it's empty of coral and needs some "cover and movement". Plus it's no big deal to pull 20lbs of rock out and BLEACH them if I get tired of them in that tank.
