Blue Face Angel Hiding since I got him

I picked up a Blue Faced Angel this past Tuesday and it has been hiding behind rock since I put him into the tank. He is still alive though so that is good. I forget what he looks like since I just see glimpses of him with a flashlight thru the rock work.
I have been putting food back there so hopefully he is eating. A couple times he has shown himself but when he sees me he darts back behind the rock.
Is this normal?? Do you think eventually he will come out front?
Anyone else experience this? In ten years this is the first time a fish has remained hidden for so long.

I have 3 larger tangs,,Yellow, Clown and Powder Blue and a Flame Angel that bullies my Anthias. I would guess it is the Flame if there is any intimidation since I did not think a Tang would intimidate an Angel. The Blue face is 2-3 times the size of the Flame but since I can't see behind the rock I have no idea what is going on back there.

Hey had one for 1.2 years- he was very docile and hid for about 6 months then would only
Open swim couple hours a day- he would also on occasion get picked on by our chevron or achillies hybrid- he has since been moved to a buddy 600g totm - he grew very fast and is being more bold in the larger system- so I wold say he will come around but they are more docile than I had researched -

I had one in my 125g, he only came out to eat and only if I moved away from the tank after feeding. Had that fish 2.5 years and only saw him twice a day. He hid under a rock in the center of the tank the rest of the time.

Bluefaces tend to be very shy for large angels. I have had mine 4-5 years and he is about 8". He was a juvenile when I purchased him. He comes out quite a bit now but he used to just hide until feeding time. He is one very noisy fish though. Grunts hundreds of times a day. I do a lot of work from home and it is very hard to concentrate sometimes :(

I have mine in QT now and they are pretty timid. I have tried multiple frozen foods and he is certainly motivated by food but havent seen him really take downb a large quantity.
Anyone have feeding suggestions? It was eating flakes in the store..
