right now mine is in a 55 with a 40 gal sump alone. i have had it one year and it has grown about 1 inch. it is now 4 or 4.5 inches. it seems pretty happy in the 55 for now. when it gets to 6" i will put it in the 125. at the rate it is going now it will be a long time before it outgrows the 125. i will move it to a bigger tank when it gets to 10".
