Blue Gideon Goby?

Does anyone know anything about this fish. Saw at LFS and kinda like, but lack of research on purchases has got be in trouble in the past. Any input will be appreciated.

I've had a lot of gobies that were alleged jumpers that never jumped...THAT one is a jumper, most determined aerialist you'll ever find.

Pah! Last night one of my 2 brand new Pink Skunk Clownfish did the jumperoo thing. So I guess it happens sometime, unfortunately....

If it is a gudgeon, notice the third part of that name...dartfish. Very easily spooked and then they jump!

One time I had a Harlequin Tusk jump when my pH dropped. Came from across the tank and lept into a wall. Not a pretty site.

I was also interested in the Blue Gudgeons. I guess they are a schooling fish.

Yes they are so you can actually lose more money when they all jump out of your tank :eek1:

LFS suggested 3 or more and also warned of the jumping problem. I would hate to see a mass suicide in the floor when I get home, maybe I will pass on this fish.

I have six of these guys in my 125. They never hurt any corals or other fish. I had one jump in the overflow but plenty of open rocks and no jumping. They tend to dive into the rock when startled here. Looks really cool when you first see one set of eyes followed by 3-4 other sets poking out of a rock hole.

Maybe I'll try them again. I have firefish with no inclination to jump. Plenty of rock holes.
