Blue gig?

This is at a local place, I'm very close to getting it. I looked at the base and did see blue spots on the underside of the nem, and he tentacles are definitley longer than a haddoni. Is this a gig and does it look ok?

They said they hand picked it from a supplier, so no shipping involved. And it's been there a week or so. Yesterday they offered me $250, today $225...

There were blue spots all over the underside. Here is a haddoni at the same store

In the pic of the blue it was after we moved it around to see the underside so the tentacles retracted a bit, but I'm fairly sure it's not a haddoni

I think I bought that green haddoni pictured above.

The blue looked like a gigantea in person, but I couldn't see the underside.

 I thought you picked it up!! Sorry buddy. It's been there for a while though.

Edit- I removed the store reference for you. :o

If you've confirmed the verrucae, then it's a gigantea.

I wouldn't say it's healthy looking at the photos. The tentacles should be longer and the mouth looks like it's protruding a bit. I've seen worse though. Almost all gigs I've seen that come in look like the one in the photo, and are often mis-IDed at haddoni since the tentacles are so short.

There are a lot of guesses as to why the tentacles are short, and most of not favorable.

Are the tentacles "vibrating" or moving back and forth? This is usually another sign that's it's a gig, but many agree that given enough flow, this movement will stop. It's also not a sign of a healthy gig, though I would take vibrating as a sign that the gig has enough energy to do so.

I don't know if this helps wih the health assessment of the gig, but there is very little light and almost no flow hitting that anemone.
